Mr Stcdman left Dunedin (where he is aeon t for Humber Car?) oil his annual business trip to Christchurch, ait 6.20 a.m., anil maintained an average speed 'throughout journey of over 25 miles per hour. The Humber Car weighs 18cwt fullv equipped for the road, and has aljready ('.fine over 11.000 miles without 3 mechanical stop. The petrol consumption was worked ont carefully by Mr. 0. J. Wilson, of Invcroargill, who accompanied Mr. Stcdman, and it records 30 miles to a gallon. On a gallon of lubricating oil the Humber runs 1700 miles, and the running cost approximates three guineas for 1000 miles. These are facts, proved and certified by Mr. Wilson. There is no need to say more. Mr. Stcdman is now at our garage, with the car that did the trip, and will be pleased to ?ivu trial trips.
