! o N.Z.A.A. CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING Intending competitors are reminded by advertisement that entries_ for the New Zealand Amateur Athlctic Track and Field Championships close -to-mor-row. The meeting, all the proceeds of which are to form tho nucleus for the Wellington section of the "Wounded New Zealand Soldiers' and Dependents' Fund," is to be held at the Basin .Reserve on . Saturday week, and the team to represent the Wellington Province in the competition for tho, coveted ohampionship shield is to be selected from the form shown at tho provincial championship gathering which is being held at Masterton to-day, and. at which a large contingent of local athletes is competing. Great interest is being manifested in the country districts in to-, day's meeting at Masterton, and strenuous endoavours by tie country club representatives to wrcsfc thci M'Viliy Shield from the metropolitan clubs m the inter-club contest are anticipated.
