NEW FREEZING COMPANY

A, large and most enthusiastic meeting of farmers was held at Wairoa this afternoon to discuss the question of establishing freezing worts. Over 200 farmers were present, and the meeting was addressed by Mr. W. D. Powdrell, of Hawera, and Mr. A. S. Mitchell, of Wellington. It was decided to establish a company, with a oapital of £100,000, in £1 shares, ,to start co-operative works.. The provisional directors' are: Messrs. J. Hunter Brown, A. Sinclair, O. C. Ormerad, M. ,Nilsson, G. E. Ormoncl, J. Corkill, 'A-.8. Oarmichael, J. M. Taylor, J. Wit-hell, W. D. Powdrell, T. Powdrell, T. Byrne, and S. Jessep. The total taken , up in. the room was £21,590, which was secured without canvass. '• ■
