WEEK-END SHOOTING KARORI DEFENCE CLUB The Karori Club fired the first match of its second series at Trent-ham on Saturday afternoon, under the best weather conditions that have been experienced there . this season. : 'l'ho ranges were 800 and 1000 yards, and several fino. scores were registered. itflmn. Ching, Bulford, and Tinhey- came out on top in the order named, with 63, G2, and 61 respectively. Captain R. N. Irvine, a visitor, also got G2.. Rflmn. Ching'and Bulford are both shooting in good form, and may do well at Greytown this week.. The club commenced its first match of the third series over 900 and 1000 yards, for trophies donated by Liejtten antColonel C. D. Mackintosh, President Macdonald, A. S. Henderson, H. Marsden, and Mr. Menzies. The shooting was again of a high order in spite of a tricky wind. Rifleman Cottrill rattled on the fine score of 63, out of a possible 70. Next. Lucas, tho third man being Rflms-. Watson.
