ROYAL CHORAL SOCIETY
ANSTJAL MEETING. The president.{Mr. J. G. W. Aitken) occupied the chair at the tenth annual meeting of the Wellington' Royal Choral Society held in St. John's Schoolroom last evening. There was a fair attendance of members, the ladies predominating. After the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, which, did not go unchallenged, the election of officers was proceeded with. The new officers are as, follow:—Par trons, His Excellency the Governor, the Hon. W. F. Massey, and Sir Robert Stout ; president, the Hon. J. G. W. Aitken; "vice-presidents, Archbishop Redwood, the Rev. Dr. Gibb, the Hon. W. Fraser, M.P., Messrs. A. H. Miles, W. E. Bethuhe, and D. J. Nathan; conductor, Mr. Herbert Bloy; hon. accompanist, Mr. C. W. Kerry; hon. solicitor, Jlr. A. W. Blair; hon. inditor, Mr. C. D. Morpeth; hon. treasurer. ,Mr. W. H. Chittey; hon. librarian, Mr.J. E. Perry; hon. secretary, Mr. W. E. Oaldow; hon. assistant-secretary, Mr. C. D. Loader; committee, Messrs. R. T. Caldow,. F. B. Young, S. G. Hainerton, R. F. Bishop, E. A. Herron.
