PICTURE THEATRE AMALGAMATION
The amalgamation is announced of tho interests of two loading picture theatres in the city—the Empress and Everybody's. It is understood tiiiat this will bo brought, about by tlio enlargement of the New Zealand J. D. Williams Co., proprietors of tlio Empress Theatre, to include Everybody's Theatre, which is in the hands of New Zealand Picture Supplies, Ltd. The new firm will be known as E. and E. Pictures, Ltd. The present directors of t'ho New Zealand .T..D. Williams Co. will remain, and to their numbers will be added representatives of the N.Z. Picture Supplies, Ltd., as well as Mr. BarTinjrton Miller, of Gisborue and Sydney. Tlio programme of film for both theatres will iio from the repertoire of tlio N.Z. Picture Supplies. Ltd. It is anticipated that Mr. D. J. Nathan will act as chairman of the amalgamation, and that Mr. E. J. Tlighton, of the N.Z. Pictiiro Supplies, Ltd., will bo manaciiis director.
