POOLING THE ALLIES RESOURCES

' DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT. (Rec. February 25, 0.20 a.m.) London, February 24. . The opinions of members dnring a debate in the House of Commons generally approved of the scheme of pooling the Allies' resources. Mr. Austin Chamberlain thought that Belgium should raise a loan under a joint guarantee from the Allies instead of the Allies raising a joint loan. Mr. Lloyd George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, stated that he agreed with Mr. Chamberlain, but he had.been unable to carry that point at the conferences. He added: "Out joint resources axe enormous. This is a war not merely of men, but of equipment, time, and resolute application —all that is necessary to secure victory."
