THE PRICE OF FLOUR
RAILWAY SERVANTS' RESOLUTION. (By M«srrttPh-Picsa AesociatlonJ Oamaru, February 22. . ' The Oamara branch of trio Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants passed the following resolutions: (1) That the attention of tho Government be called, to the fact that the millerß are charging £16 per ton for flour, presumably manufactured from wheat imported, by the Gov6rnnion> at 6s. 3d. por hushel and sold to millers at ss. 9a., the country bearing tho loss of 6d. por bushel, and wo consider that now is the timo for the Government to fix the price of both whoat.and flour to prevent congumers from being further exploited. "(2) That the executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants bo urged to ask for an advance in pay all round, owing to Iho extraordinary increase in tho cost of living."
