Mr, Stedman left Duncdin (whet© he is nsont for Humber Cars) on liis annual business trip to Christchurch, at G. 20 a.m., and maiutainod an average speed thivughout the journey of over 25 miles per hour. The Hurnber Car wighs 18cwt. • fully equipped for the road, and has already dona over 11,000 miles without a ■ mechanical stop. Tho petrol consumption was worked out carefully by Jfr. 0. J. Wilson, of Invorcajpill, who accompanied Mr. Stedman, and it records 30 miles to a gallon. On a gallon of lubrioatins oil the ffumbor rims 1700 miles, and tho running cost approximates three guineas, for 1000 miles. These are facts, proved and certified by Mr. Wilson.
