WOOL FOR AMERICA
CERTAIN SHIPMENTS ALLOWED
Acting under instructions from the Some authorities the New Zealand Government has decided to allow shipments to America of merino and black-faced wool when it is consigned to the Chairman of the United States Textile Alliance. By Order-in-Council dated November 2, 1914, an embargo was placed on the export of wool from New Zealand ports except to ports of Great Britain or her Allies, in ships belonging to those countries. Tho removal of the "embargo now so far as it affects these tivo classes of wool is not of very great jmprtance, as the amount of wool of these classes grown in New Zealand is an almost inconsiderable portion of our total production.
