EVENING SPORTS MEETING. The Wellington Amateur .Athletic Sports Club held a meeting on the Basin Reserve last night. The following are the results of the events: — 100 yds— First heat: R. Adams. syds., l.j L. Murphy, 7yds., 2; time, llsec. Second heat: G. Healy, 2yds., 1; V. Robertson, Byds., 2 ; time, llsec. Third heat: A. Avery, lOsec., 1; H. E. Wilson, ssec., 2; time, 10 4-ssec. Final: Mu'rpliy, 1; Avery, 2; Adams, 3. Time, 10 4-ssec. Murphy won by inches. One Mile Race.—-R. Ballantyne, 75 yds., 1; J. F. Byrne, scr., 2; G.'Bilderbeck, 50yds., 3. Time, 4min, 48sec. Ballantyne took the lead at the half mile and won easily by 12 yards. 410yds.—D.O'Sullivan, 18yds., 1; R. Adams. 14yds., 2; J. Wilton, scr.,. 3. Time, 54 4-ssec. The winner succeeded easily and breasted tho tape six yards in tho lead.
