ROSENEATH RATEPAYERS ASSOCIATION

A meeting of the Roseneath Ratepayers' Association was held last night, Mr. T. W. Ward presiding. Dissatisfaction was expressed by the members present with the failure of the City Council to reply to their request for bathing facilities at Bellina Bay. It was decided to write, thanking Messrs. Palliser and Jones for their gift of 20ft. of land for a right-of-way from Roseneath Terraoe to Grafton Road. Tho council is to be asked to erect a lamp on the track recently made on this land. Tile forthcoming municipal elections were discussed, and it was the opinion of the meeting that tho association should urge the electors of Roseneath to support members favourable to tho construction of the Esplanade at Oriental Bay, and to the general improvement of the district.
