On arrival at Balgownie all were made welcome by the Hon; John Duthie, M.L.C., and the grounds, which were looking, at .their best, were greatly admired by all, one of the chief attractions being a row on the lake. Toys, fruit, and lollies were liberally distributed among the children throughout the day. Following afternoon tea was the presentation of prizes to the winners. -Mr. J. Smitten performed the ceremony, in the absence of Mr. W. G. Duthie. Cheers were afterwards given for theHon. John Duthie, M.L.C., and for Mr. Smitton.
