GOVERNMENT EFFORTS APPRECIATED.

FAULT-FINDING DEPRECATED. The Patea Co-operative Freezing Co., Ltd., has sent the following letter to Mr. H; G. Hill, general manager of the .Bristol and Dominions Producers' Association, Ltd., who'has been rather prominent lately in finding fault with the .Government in regard to tonnage for, frozen produce:—"We are in receipt of yours of January 11, and while we are thankful for either your help or the Prime Minister's to get our meat away our chairman says the same end could have been' achieved by you without attacking the Prime Minister and the Government after the good work done ,by. him in grain and freezing matters. . . . He also points

out, while he appreciates your efforts to get more space, he has no intention of allowing the Government to think that he is dissatisfied with their, efforts in shipping matters neither has he any intention of allowing politics to enter the question. The telegram sent you giving you liberty to use the information was not intended as a grievance against the Government, but W6 thought you would use it with discretion to the shipping _ companies.' Please do not think we misplace your good intentions, but -we do think you took the wrong attitude in regard to our information, as it appears in-the Press as though we are dissatisfied or have a grievance against the Government, whereas we can only give the Prime Minister great kudos for bringing soma of the vessels out in ballast."
