' LIEUTENANT-COLONEL T. W. M'DONALD. (By Teleemrh.—PreM Association.) Dunedin, February 12. . Private advices. from Egypt state that,- owing to Lieutenant-Colonel T. W. M'Donald being invalided to England, Captain Moore, D.S.O . Royal Dublin Fusiliers, who left- here as adjutant to tho Otago Infantry Battalion, has been promoted to major, and now commands tlio battalion, with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Lieutenant-Colonel T. W. M'Donald was formerly Mayor of Lower Hutt, and was for some time aes'stant-adjutant-general at District Headquarters, subsequently going over to the Cadet Branch of the Education Department as Officer Commanding the Junior Cadets. On the abolition of the school cadet system, Lieutenant-Colonel then major—then, went home for a course of instruction with the Imperial Forces, and on Ms return was posted to District Headquarters at Dunedin, as General Staff Officer. ■
