TESTING THE 1915 BSA. The B.S.A. Company is a great bo. liever in gaining first-hand information concerning the road conditions in the countries where B.S.A. motor-cycles are used, and Mr. D. Y. Eennie, the firm's travelling representative, was . recently sent to New Zealand to spy out'the land, Messrs. Adams, Ltd., planned a trip for Mr. Eennie which would demonstrate the difficulties that beset the New Zealand motor cyclist in quite a striking manner. With Mr. G. B. Brown, Mr. Eennie took a B.S.A. 4}h.p. single-cylinder motor, cycle three-speed countershaft gear (of course)' and side-car from ChristchuTeh through Arthur's Pass to Otira, Kmnara, Mnrcnisorii Nelson, Blenheim, Glenhope, Seddon, Kaikoura, Waiau, and Hanmer, 600 miles, all overland. The trip was a tough one, but the B.S.A. and side-oar (weighing SOOlb. with passengers), came through magnificently. The capabilities of the 3-speed gear were fully demonstrated, and so pleased wero Messrs, Adams, Ltd., with the result of this gruelling "try-out" that they cabled trebling their standing orders for B.S.A. motor-cycles. A small shipment has just arrived, and. prospective pur. chasers should order early. Adams, Ltd. Christchurch, Palmerston North, an 3 Wanganui.
