BOSS GOLDFIELDS BEOONSTBUCTED, LIMITED. The mine manager of tno Ross Goldfields Reconstructed, Ltd., reports as follows for the fortnight ending February 8:— The umvatering on the shaft which had beon recommenced on January 23 was interrupted, early on Wednesday" morning, owing to the power failing through a tree falling across the transmission line, and pressing these wires on to the telephone Une underneath. Whilst the Diesel engine was being started "one of the employees, In attempting to withdraw the switch of the telephone transformer, came in contact with the brass clip and was electrocuted. It was impossible, under the attendant oircnm<rtanccs, to take advantage of the auxiliary' power in the few minutes there was to spare, and subsequently the sinking pumps were" again, withdrawn and the motors dried. Unwatering was recommenced on January 30, and we have been proceeding steadily since, the water having been now reduced to the neighbourhood of No.' 6 level-workings..
