INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION
PROPOSED INDUSTRIES WEEK. The ordinary meeting of the Wellington Industrial Association was held last night. Mr. C. B. Norwood presided. A motion of condolence with the widow and family of the late Mr. George Luke was affirmed on the motion of the chairman. Messrs. Thomson, Lowis, and Co., cordial manufacturers, were elected members of the association. Tlie Auckland Association wrote suggesting that the Minister of Education and the editor of the "'School Journal" be approached with a view to having tho whole of the May issue of the journal devoted to the description of New Zealand industries. —Tho secretary was instructed to write to the editor of the "School Journal." A short discussion occurred on tho proposed Industries Week in May. Tho Auckland Association favoured the project, but tlie Canterbury Association rejected it in favour of a 6cheme of its own for fostering Now Zealand manufactures. The details of this scheme wero not supplied to the Wellington Association. A report of the visiting committeo on the Dunliard Automatic Bakeries, Ltd., was presented.
