The Right Hon. W.' F. Massey has gone to Auckland for a few days. The Hon. H. D. Bell returned last night from a visit to Napier, X\'airoa, and Lake Waikaremoana. The Hon. TV". H. Herries leaves to'day for Rotorua. He will spend Wednesday in Rotorua, and jn Thursday >he will go on to Tauranga, to investi- ; gate some harbour matters in his new capacity as Minister of Marine, return■iug to Wellington on Sunday morning. The Hon. J. Allen and the Hon. W. Fraser will bpth return from the south by the Wahine to-morrow. A Press Association telegram from ■Hawera states that the Yen. Archdeacon Cassell, Anglican minister at St. Mary's, died yesterday afternoon, aged \47 years. Early in January deceased : suffered a serious • nervous breakdown, ifrom which he ne7er rallied. Visitors staying at the Albert Hotel (•■are Mr. and Mrs. P. Smith {Auckland), '*Mr. A. D. More (Picton), and Mr. Selby ; ; (Palmerston North).
