Ronnie, the firm's travelling rfiprescntativo, was recently Bent to New Zealand to spy out the land. Messrs. Adams, Ltd., planned a trip for Mr. Hennio wliich would demonstrate the difficulties that beset the New Zealand motor cyclist in quite a striking manner. With Mr. G. B. Brown, Mr. Rennio took' a B.S.A. 41b.p. single-cylinder motorcycle three-speed countershaft Rear (of' course) and sido-car from Christchurch'• through Arthur's Pass to Otira, Kumara, Murchison, Nelson, Blenheim, Glenhope, Seddon, Kaikonra. Waiau. and Hanmet, 800 miles, all overland. The trip was a touch one, but the B.S.A. and sidc-car (weighing 80011). with passengers), came! through magnificently. The capabilities of tho 3-spml gear -.were fully demon* stratcd, and so pleased were Messrs, Adams, Ltd., with the result of this gruelling "try-out" that they cablorl trebling their standing orders fox: B.S.A. motor-cycles.
