Baufeia did half a miJo in lmin. ljsec., Snapdragon, Murray, and Trick six furlongs in J inin. lSJscc., Honesty the last six of seven furlongs in lmin. OJsoc., and Peg and Scotch Melody a mile and a quarter in 2min. 15sec., tho former finishing a length ahead. Charmilla defeated Skirl over five furlongs in lmin. Gsec. Warstep beat Skene Dim over seven furlongs in lmin. 31sec., going easily. Multum iri Parvo and Art ran six furlongs in lmin. 3feee., tho former being bealen ofi'. First (ilanco and Mellchikoff did six furlongs in lmin. lflsec., and Jloddite and Loo a similar task in lmin. lSJsec. At a meeting of the Dunedin District Committee to-night an appeal by W., Robertson against the decision of the Southland Racing CLab disqualifying his horse Brooksdatlc for a venal welter, and _fining him .£2O for not attending a mooting of stewards when called on to do so, was considered. After evidence had been heard the appeal was uphold.
