IMPERIAL CONFERENCE

FEDERAL PREMIER ABANDONS HIS PROPOSAL. Melbourne, February 4. The Prime Minister (Mr. Andrew Fisher) has announced that as a result of communications with the Imperial Government, the Commonwealth could not further urge the arrangement of an Imperial Conference. It could therefore be regarded as definite that the Conference will not be held this year.
