YOUNG AUSTRALIA LEAGUE VISIT
Great interest is being aroused locally in the visit of tho boys representing the Young Australia League. En route for the Panama Pacific Exhibition, the boys will spend Wednesday and Tnurs-. day in Wellington, and a"civic welcome has been arranged .for them, besides a full programme of sightseeing and educational visits. By the courtesy of the Eastbourne Ferry Company, Day's Bay. will be visited, and afternoon tea will be provided by Mr. Wm. Allan. The boys will also visit the woollen mills and the Gear Meat Works at Pctono, the latter making provision for . afternoon tea. ' An observation car trip willalso be included in the itinerary. The company consists of 40 members, comprising &■ first-class band. Individual brilliance is not lacking among the party, who are all selected boys representing towns in Anstralia, there not being .more than two from any one town. ' Vocalists, elocutionists, musicians, gymnasts, and athletos comprise the party, every boy possessing 'talent along some special line, and' all combining to form a most pleasing : collec- : . tion of tho higher typo of young Australian. '. _ The boys will give a concert in St. Peter's Hall this evening, at 8 o'clock,, and a good audience should be there, to receive a refined and versatile programme, which promises to ,be'one of the most enjoyable staged in New <se»- J land. /' ■" ' '
