(from Our Speotal OorresDotntentJ .The first meeting 'of the Peixrae Techu«al School Board for the year was held last evening, when ttfere were present: Mr. J. Castle (chairman), and Mossrs. M'Swan, Hobbs,' M'Kenzie, Coles, and Roots, and Mr. J. Lynskey (director).' A communication from the ■Wellington Education Board was considered, which stated that as additional accommodation had now been provided at the school, it was desirous that the arrangement proposed in March, 1912, be carried out, namely, that the pupils of the High School be accommodated at t>ie Technical School, the transfer in no way-to affect the status of the High School. It was decided to accede to the request.. The sum of 15 guineas was acknowledged as a contribution from the Petone Working Men's Club, and Miss Keyworth was appointed art instructress to the school for the first term. Bro. Greenwood, A.D., presided at the usual fortnightly meeting of ' the Poneke Lodge, No. 21, U.A.O.D. Five Brothers were declared on the sick fund, and Bro. Savage was appointed to represent the lodge at the meeting of the Royal Arch Chapter to held to-day at Vivian Street. Visitors who attended were P.A. Bro Cunliffo (Star of New Zealand) and the D.P., officially. A sports meeting is to be held on February at Lower Hutt, under the auspices of the Hutt Amateur Athletic Club, and the following is the programme:—7syds. club event, 75yds. youths', racc, 120 yds. open handicap, 440 yds. open handicap. Entries close on Monday, February 8, with Messrs. Gemmell and Harris, Lower Hutt, and Mr. S. Clarke, Petone.
