FRENCH CAMPAIGN IN ALSACE

GERMANS EVACUATE CERNAY. (Reo. February 3, 0.5 am.) , Paris, February 2. The French have made gradual progress in Alsace. The Germans quietly evacuated Cernay, which the French guns had made untenable, and are now bombarding Cernay to prevent the French occupying it. Meanwhile the French are shelling the forest of Nonnemruch, where the Germans are entrenched, barring the advance to Mulhausen.
