Berlin municipalities have ordered tie bakers to reduce the output of bread by cnofourth. _ , The Cologne municipality has forbidden the manufacture of wneaten bread except under doctor's prescription. Rye bread is obligatory. , Several German newspapers declare that the food situation_ is much more serious than people believe. An Austrian decree limits flour and rye in bread to one-half, the remainder to be barley, rice, potatoes, or other substitutes. AN ITALIAN DECREE. Rome, January 31. A decree abolishes the frontier duty on cereals and flour, and reduces the railway freights thereon; also maritime freights on subsidised lines, and enir powers the Government to regulate the salo.
