APPALLING DESTITUTION London, February 1. Harrowing stories are told of appalling destitution in Scrvia. A million people are homeless ;uid foodless, and in worse plight than tho Belgians, becauso they have no neighbours to succour tlieni. It is pitiable to see them, grouped in hundreds, hopeless anil despairing, weak from want of food, shattered by privations.
