The Old Navals Defonce Rifle Club continued their club competitions at Miramax on Saturday afternoon for trophies presented by -tho Hon. C. J. Johnston, Major A. G. Hume, Lieut. M. E. Dcnraswn, President J. Ea.be, and clnb trophies. J. lie conditions were ten shots and sighter at each 500 and 000 yards. The clnb also fired four teams matches of four men a-side for the challenge badges presented by Mr. C. W. Martin. Ihe badges wero held by F. Standidge's team, but the holders were beaten by Pres. J. Next Saturday the club will fire the final for the above events on ranges of 300. 500, and 600 yards, seven shots 'and sighter at each range. DEFENCE STAFF CLUB. On Saturday, when the -Biles of Trentham were at their height, the Defence Staff Club iired the fourth match of their second series over ranges 500 and COO yards, tho winner of Mr. Reid's trophy being Rflmn. On Saturday next the first match of the third series over long distances, viz., 800 and 900 yards, will be commenced. HIGHLAND RIFLE CLUB. The club continued its competiion for trophies donated by Messrs. Read, Fenwick, J. Eaves, and J. Macferran, over 800 and 900 yards. The shooting, was done under, service conditions, there being no flags to indicate the vagaries of the wind, which on Saturday was exceptionally tricky. Captain Ross was the only marksman to find the target with all his shots. Below are the scores.— A Class. The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club continued their trophy shooting on Saturday and Wednesday afternoon, at their range, Broadway, Mirimar, at ranges 500 and 600 yards. The best shoot of the day was made by A. D. Mason, with 96. Next Wednesday and Saturday the club will complete their final match in the second series at Tanges 300, 500, and 600 yards. KARORI DEFENCE CLUB. Tho Karori Club concluded its first series at Trentham on Saturday afternoon with a match over 500 and 600 yards. Biilliant sunshine favoured the marksmen, but a Ti-entham breeze, varying from, ten degrees, right to fivo left, puzzled most of them considerably. Top 6core for the day went, to the club's veteran, RAnm. W. H. Cox, sen., with 03, including 10-points handicap. Rflmn. Cox, whose shooting days date further back than tho majority of men now on tho mound, tan still show some of the younger members how to put up a score. As a ccirtrast to the foregoing, second place was occupied by a Wangauui College Boy, Rflmn. H. J. Atkinson, who shows considerable promise. Tho series competition was won by Rflmn. F. W. Ching, with a total of 180, followed by Rflmn. H. V. Croxton, with 183. Full results are as follow :—

This course is compulsory, and an effort will be made to complete the series in one day. _ Members are requested to bring sufficient ammunition to do so. PETONE CLUB.
