Mails for Australian States and South Africa close at Auckland, per Riverina, on Tuecdaj, February 2. at 10.45 a.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji close at Auckland, per Atua, on Mdnday, February 8, at 8.45 a.m. The advertised times for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-post mail per Main Trnnk express closes at the C.P.O. at 10.30 a.m., and for the south, per Ferry Steamer, at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of the usual Ferry Htcaraers for southern offices, close at the C.P.O. at 11.30 f1..m., and for the eouth per Ferry Steamer at 5.45 p.m. As the last clearance of the city receivers is mado at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be po3t»ed at the Chief Post Cilice not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday.
