SWIMMING
The Thorndon Club last evening decided two heats of a 150 yards handicap. The final will be held to-night. Details are: —First heat: J. Garrett, 1; F. Desmond, 2; A. W. Smith, 3/ Also competed: H. Desmond, C. Desmond, F. Roberts, and F. R. Webster. Second heat: J. Wickens, 1; J. Burns, 2; J. Shearer, 3. Also started: H. Wheeler, J. Sheehy, W. O'Meara, W. Lomas, and H. W. Harris. Wickens assumed the lead early,; and led throughout, eventually winning by . a couple of yards.
