It appears that while M'lntyro was endeavouring to cross from ono side of tho road to tho otlier in front of the bus, his bicycle skidded, and he was caught m the under-gear of tho 'bus and killed instantly. At the time of tho accident deceased and his son wero cycling to the Heads. BOY SAVED FROM DROV/NINC. MR. TAU HENARE, M.P., TO THR RESCUE. Auckland, January 24. A LABOURER'S SUICIDE. Tlmaru, January 23. James Thomas Dockrill, a labourer, aged 45, committed suicido between last night and this morning. He lived by himself in Wallington, a suburb, and had been in bad health. A doctor who saw him on Friday said ho was suffering from the effects of drink, and should go to tho hospital. Deceased said that ho would rather drown himself. A woman saw his body in a creek near his house. Ho loft a noto saying: "Look (in creok) at the bottom of the kno." Tho inquest was opened and adjourned. A brothor-in-laiv of deceased said that lie did not think Dockrill hail been m his right senses for tho last threo years. Pahiatua, January 23. 0. AVatson, a shepherd .on Sir., Thompson's eatato at Akitio, was returning with his wife from Pongaroa yesterday in a buggy when they wero thrown over an embankment. Watson sustained a fraoturo of tho leg in two places, and was sent to the Pahiatua Hospital. His wife was not hurt. ACCIDENTAL DEATH. Dannovlrke, January 24. At an inquest which was held oil Michael MacAuliffe, who met his death at Norsewood hy falling off a timber wagon and breaking his neck, a ycrdic'l of accidental death was returned.

Auckland, January 23. After Dalgety's sale at AVhakapiraii yesterday, a buggy containing Mr, Christie (Dalgety's lepresentative), Mr» W. 11. Christie and Bennett each had one leg broken, ana are now in Auckland Hospital. TW others sustained slight injuries. ACCIDENT AT WERAROA. Levin, January 23. On Thursday evening Mr. J. SmelliO, manager of the Levin butter factory, mot with, a serious accident at his residence at Weraroa, while felling a tree. There was a rope attached to the tree to bring it down in the right direction. Tho rope broko while Mr. Smellie was pulling. it, , and lie fell with. Ms leg doubled underneath liim. The leg „waa broken below the knee. BODY IN THE HOTT RIVER, Tho inquest on the body of Elizabeth Lindsay Murphy, found in the Hutt River on Anniversary Day, is to be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Magistrate's Court.
