BOWLS ' SATURDAY'S GAMES. Bright, breezy weather favoured tlie bowlers 011 Saturday, and EOme enjoyable games were pfnyed. The greens had a fair grip, owing to Friday's downpour, which was a distinct change after their decided slipperiness of tho last few weeks. The following arc tho results of the play:— NEWTOWN V. VICTORIA. Probably the "friendliest" friendly game 011 a big scale this season was played 011 Saturday, between the Newtown and Victoria Clubs. Each had eight rinks in the field, and the visiting rinks won the aggregate on each green by four points, the game thus ending iu a draw, 154 all. Results: — Men's Championship Doubles —Ollivier and Aitken beat Fisher and Howden (by default). Men's Championship Singles—Ollivier beat Aitken, 6 —3. G —2. Combined Handicap Doubles—Ollivier and Miss R. Hughes beat Salmond and Miss Curtis, 6—o, 4 —o. Ladies' , Handicap Singles—Miss Caverhill beat Mrs. K. Groves, s—o, 4—B.
