INTERNED SHIPPING
AUSTRALASIAN CONSIGNEES TAKE ACTION. (Rec. January 23. 1.25 a.m.) Sydney, January 22. A conference of Australasian' consignees of goods in German vessels interned in South Africa and Dutch East Indian ports was held in the Chamber of Commerce, New Zealand being re-, presented. It was decided to apjjwint a representative to proceed to Java, authorised to take the necessary action to secure the release of canjos originally bound for Australia and New Zealand, and understood to be alwari various German and Austrian vessels in the several ports.
