MILITARY PENSIONS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedln, Janunir 21. The Minister of Defence (tlio Hon. J. Allen), referring to tho matter of military pensions providod under tho Defence Act, points out that ft addition to tho pensions stated in tho schedulo provision had "boon made for special allowances to relatives. He quoted Section 79. "Lot mo say this," remarked Mr. Allen, "the final word has not been said about ponsions. I am personally inquiring into the question, and am' obtaining particulars of tho Australian scheino established recently. I consider that on questions like this it is wise to malto them in harmony with Australia."
