— : 4— 'A OHRISTCHTJRCH PROPOSAL. (By Telegraph.—Preso Association.)' Ghrlstohu'roh, January 21. ' A meeting of those, interested in tho formation of a Handicappors' Association in connection with athletics was held to-day, there b'oing present Messrs. ,T. M'Kny (Otago), M. Wylie (Otago), Ramsdon (Ivaitangata), D. F. M'Kay (Otago), R. B. Meek (Otago official handictippor), Mcalings, (Christclnirch), Barrett (Christcluirch), Geary (Timartl), Hanson (Eltham), and Collingivood (Feilding). After an informal discussion it was decided to form an association with tho object of securing some uniform system of'handicapping. _ . Mr. Thomson (Blenheim) was appointed president, and Mr. Callander (Hawke's Bay) secretary.
