WELLINGTONS DIAMOND JUBILEE
Great preparations ate being made to ensure the diamond jubilee celebrations being a success. The procession will'contain a patriotic tableau by the members of Geo. Willoughby's Dramatic Company. Mr. Cross as a Life Guardsman, Miss Remee as La Belle Franc*, Britannia will be surrounded by Russia, India, Canada, and New Zealand, portrayed by tho members of "Under Two Flags" Company. The West Coast gold rush, interesting trade displays and tableaux depicting Now Zealand life will be shown by the New Zealand Natives' Association.
All kinds of interesting items will be provided at Newtown Park, and tho public can look forward to an enjoyable day. Tho finalo takes place at the Town Hall, when the West Coast Diamond Jubilee nugget will bo sold by Mr. Wallace. Mr. Flyger has presented a stick mado of every New Zealand wood bound by whalebone from a whalo tried out in Wellington Harbour many years ago. .
