OBSERVANCE OF SUNDAY
NEGLECT DEPLORED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) New Plymouth, January 20. Neglect of Sunday observance was alluded to at the quarterly meeting of the New 1 Plymouth Methodist Circuit by a lay member, and a resolution was passed deploring the disregard of the Christian Sunday as evidenced by the number of picnics and concerts held, and the amount of -sport indulged in on that day. and protesting in the interests of the young people especially against such desecration or the day set apart for rest and worship.
