BOOKMAKERS FINED £30
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Chrlstchurch, January 19. 'At the Magistrate's Court, to-day, Frank Walton was charged with being a bookmaker and making an illegal bet a 6 the Methven races. He pleaded guilty' and was fined £Bn. Hie police said that accused, and his brother were conducting a sideshow when the offence was committed.
