UNSATISFACTORY COURT CASE. (By. Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wanganul, January 19. "This is'the most iiUßatisfaotory oaeo that has over come before me, said Mr. W. Kerr, S.M., to-day in respect to a case where Albert G. Maokay sued three Natives for £32, hire of taxi-cabs. The claim stated that defendants had ordered taxi-cabs on sfeveli different ocoasions to make visits to Palmerston North. A chauffeur in the employ iof the plantiif stated that oil ono occasion Ivhen at Palfnerston North one defendant had "shouted" him a motoring ooat, paying £6 15s. for it. In the course of evidence for the defence it was stated that the threo defendants were joint owners with eleven others in a block df land, and the taxi-oabs had been hired in the common interest to geek likety In nonsuiting the plaintiffs, the Magistrate said the Maoris- dearly loved motor-oars. There had b'eett several similar cases of late. He could not -understand how taxi-cub owners did such preoarious business, as in many cases the Natives were in indigent oiroumstances. 1
