WOODVILLE A. & P. SHOW.
The entries for the Woodville Show constitute a record, being an advance of about twenty per cent, on those.of last year. When the circumstances of the war-and the untoward season are taken-into"account, this, result is most gratifying, and goes to show that the . Wo'odville-district may be regarded as a farmer's locality. To analyse the entries, those of the horse classes are slightly below last year's, but this is compensated for several times over by the increase in- cattle and sheep. The entries for Ayrshires, . Jerseys, and dairy cattle are very largo indeed/as also in sheep those of Eomnoys, Lincolns, crossbreds, and fats being particularly so. The entries in home industries have doubled themselves, and there should be a keen contest for the handsome trophy, presented by Mrs. "W. H. Gaisford, as a points prize in this section. A fine day on January 27 should be the culminating factor of the most successful and enjoyable show •Woodville has ever had.
