HOROWHENUA A. & P. SHOW.
Final entries for the Horowhenua A. and P. Show Association's ninth annual show, to be'held'on the racecourse. Levin, on Wednesday, January 27, closed on Saturday last. The show will probably prove to bo a record both in numbers and quality of exhibits. In the cattle classes the entries are far in excess of any previous year, especially- in the purebred section, which will undoubtedly bo -worth a. visit of inspection. The, sheep classes are equally well filled, which section also shows a marked improvement. The horses aud competitions have received their share of patronage also, there being some two hundred and twenty ehfties in this section alone, which will go to show that the public can look forward to an interesting day's outing, and will witness some very fine stamps of horses in tie ring. There are Eome fifty odd entries in pigs and this number has only been beaten once in the existence of tjhe association, and although perhaps beaten in numbers -previously, will take a deal of -heating-nil quality. the generous support given the association in every way this year's show, if favoured with fine weather, points to being the most successful one ever, held by the association.
