■The Heretaunga Boating Club, which has been, seriously handicapped through Having 60 many of its members in camp, and consequently has been compelled to delay its opening'day, has, decided in order that interest, may be .retained to hold races whenever there is an available opportunity. It is the, intention ofthe club toehold a. race next" Saturday for eleven-footers, and the annual harbour excursion is to be held the following week.: On, Saturday a sis-mile race wae competed for by. Mr. W. TayNomad, scr. : ; Mr. Pallagh's Illinois, smin.; Mr. Aldred's Irex, s}min. ; and Mr. Hartley's' Spray, llmin. The Irex led throughout, but the Spray won on time allowance
