BOARD SCHOLARSHIPS.

*-9 RESET OF EXAMINATIONS WELLINGTON EDUCATION DISTRICT. The following scholarship awards are announced by the. Wellington Education Board as the result of tho recent junior scholarship examinations. The schools are grouped in three classes—"A," average attendance over 201; "B," 36 to UOU; "C," under 36. I'ivti national scholarships were awarded—one to class "A," two to class "B," and two to class "0." Twelve board scholarships are awarded to candidates of- the "B" class, a number of whom come from country schools; and, in the meantime, twelve board scholarships arc awarded to children of -the* "A" class, it being understood that, :f on receipt of replies the amount of money available will permit, possibly eight additional scholarships will be awarded in this class. In the list "N" moans national and "B" means board. The regulations governing these scholarships are those mado under the old Act. National Scholarships ore of £10 value, with a currency of three years; board,scholarships, of £5 with a ourrency of 2 years; the amount made up to £40 in each case where the holder necessarily lives away from home in pursuing studies. Those on the "A" list who. do not get scholarships aro qualified for admission to a technical school, secondary school, or the secondary department of a district high Bchool.
