NO PETITION LODGED. (By Mcsranh.—Press Association.) Auckland, January 14j No petition Las been lodged in con« ncction with the election of Mr. Jas. Parr to the Eden seat, and the Returning Officor states that tliis is the last day on which a petition can be lodged. A solicitor's clerk waited on the Returning Officor to-day and intimated that a' . petition might possibly be lodged tomorrow. The solicitors for those who might possibly lodge a petition cousider that to-morrow is the last day for lodging petitions. Should the, potition be lodged to-morrow tho Returning Officer states that he will take legal advice before accepting it or refusing it.
