NO CONFIRMATION OF THE MESSAGE (Roc. January 12, 7.15 p.m.) London, January 12. _ 'An Independent Service message via Vancouver states, that no confirmation has been received of the reported sinking of the German battle-cruiser Von Der Tann. Naval officials are disinclined to credit the report. '..,.,.., [The previous message stated that the Buenos Aires newspaper "La Prenga" had reported the sinking of the Von der Tann by a British cruiser.]
