A REMARKABLE SPEECH
PRESIDENT WILSON CREATES A COMMOTION (Rec. January 12, 0.50 a.m.) Washington, January 11.' President Wilson, in a speech at Indianapolis, has produced a commotion in political circles. He declared that so far as he was concerned Mexico might continue to/'stow in her own juice." The European Powers could spill as much blood as they pleased in settling their affairs, and Mexico, he said, should have the same freedom. lie was proud to belong to a great nation that says: "This country (Mexico) we could crush, but she shall have as much freedom in her own affairs as wo have."
