Regarding .the wheat Bupply in his State, Mr. Hall'said that, the requirements of New South Wales were estimated to be.11,000,000 bushels, and they,, hoped to have this year 15,000,000 bushels, so that there would be a surplus. If the year had been a good one. they might have had a surplus of 20,(XX),000 bushels. Some friction had occurred between the State Government and the Federal Government concerning the seizure by the State Government of all wheat. The question at issue was • really whether the action of the StateGovernment constituted' an infringe- ■ ment of the Federal Government's : right to have full control of interstate trade. His : own opinion was that the action of the State had been in. the strictest, accordance with the law and the Constitution, and he did not antici', pate that there would be any troublf some developments'. :
