HUTT AND PETONE NEWS.
During the year 1914 there were. 18 fires and five false alarms at Petone. The fortnightly meeting of the Poneke Lodge was held last evening. Bfo. Greenwood, A.D., presiding, The bards reported three members'on the sick fund, and their tick pay was passed for payment The resignation of Dr, Wilkins as a medical officer was accepted with regret,,and Bro.. Woolford was installed as I.G. by the D.P., Bro. Gough. New* Year greetings were received from the Grand Lodge and the Gishorne Lodge. ' . A petition is shortly to be presented to the Petone Borough Council by bathers and residents, urging the removal of a certain structure, situated in close proximity to the principal ladies' dressing room. ■. " ,
