LAWN TENNIS

THE DAY'S BAY TOURNAMENT THIRD DAY'S PLAY 'An early start was made on Saturday with the games connected with the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association's tournament at Day's Bay, and, aided by the fine weather, the committee were able to advance the various contests to a forward stage. In the morning, however, something like 160 matches required to be played to complete the tournament, and this proved altogether too big a task, although advantage sets were eliminated from the metropolitan championship fixtures. The finals are to be • played next Saturday afternoon. Additional results in the tournament are as follow:—'
