KING'S GOOD WISHES
TO TWO PRESIDENTS (Reo. January 8,10.30 p.m.); London,' January 2. Tho King telegraphed to M. Pomc&re, President of France, his good wishes, and said' the New Year was certain to witness the strengthening of the Alliance and hoping the war would soon bo brought to a victorious conclusion. M. Poincaro replied reoiprocating tho wishes and expressing his confidence of victory, and declared Franco was resolved to fight to a complete triumph. London, January 2. The- King cabled to President Wilson hearty good wishes for his personal happinoss and the prosperity of America, to whom wo wero -united by suoh close ties of friendship.
